Balt manufactures a variety of products for business and educational customers. The company was founded in 1985 by Lorraine Moore, whose son Greg Moore still runs the company today. Balt acquired Best-Rite in 1991, which augmented its educational and interactive board offerings. In 2007 the two companies began operating under the name MooreCo, which is Balt's parent company. MooreCo is an industry leader in the educational and commercial markets for visual communication products, technology support equipment and office furniture.
