About
Boxlight was founded in 1985 in a basement in the San Francisco Bay Area. From there, the company has grown exponentially over the years. Only one year after founding, in 1986, Boxlight had already manufactured and sold only the third LCD projection panel ever produced. This was a major step for Boxlight, and by 1994 the company found itself named to the “Inc 500 List” as one of the top growing private companies in the U.S. A year later, in 1995, Boxlight again displayed its innovative power by introducing the first three-path polysilicon computer projector, the model 3080. The Boxlight 3080 was extremely ahead of its time; it was the first projector bright enough to operate in a fully lighted conference room with great color intensity, crisp image projection, and in a package that was manageable enough to be moved room to room with ease. This cemented Boxlight as the industry leader it is today.
Today, Boxlight is based in Belfair, Washington, USA. Additional offices and manufacturing are located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, WuXi, China, and Mexico City, Mexico. All meet TAA compliancy and GSA standards. Boxlight's innovative spirit is still very much alive – just five years ago the company released the second generation of its interactive projectors, the ProjectoWrite2 series. The company is dedicated to offering the best selection of presentation technology and services available at competitive prices, and providing the highest level of customer support in the industry. As such, Boxlight stands behind all its products with a three year projector and 90 day lamp warranty as standard, although up to six years of coverage is available.
