This item is a package with Fluke 117 digital multimeter and C35 soft carrying case.

The Fluke 117 Electrician’s Multimeter is a compact, CAT III 600 V, True-rms meter that includes an easy-to-use interface with a bright backlight for darker worksites. It saves you time and enables you to move from job to job more quickly.

With a quick turn of the dial, you can get measurements for:

The Fluke 117 features integrated VoltAlert technology. Fast, go/no go non-contact voltage detection built into your multimeter saves you from having to carry around or find an extra tool to get the work started.

Set the dial and get your measurement quickly with AutoVolt. This automatic AC/DC voltage selector makes it easier for you to get the measurement you need and move on quicker.

You will not have to buy test leads - the Fluke TL75 are included. The Fluke 117 also comes with a holster, user manual, and a 9 volt battery.

Is there a way to hang the meter, so I don''t have to hold it? This way my hands are freed up to hold the test leads.

Yes, the Fluke 117 will measure both AC and DC current, between 6.0A and 10.0A. To do so, the circuit must be broken and the 117 inserted in series. If you do not want to open the circuit and would prefer a less invasive test, you would need a clamp meter.

How do I measure temperature with the Fluke 117?

To measure temperature with this unit you need the Fluke 80tk temperature adapter. If you need to measure temperature you may want to consider the Fluke 116 which has this feature built in or the Fluke 175 series which also has temperature features built in as well as a lifetime warranty.

Great multimeter

Great multi-meter for the price. You can't beat a Fluke. Others at our company have Ideal and others and they usually end up buying a Fluke down the road. Just wish it came with a case, carrying strap, and clamp to measure higher amperage.
